Today, professional counter design is more important than ever. While it used to be important to have large quantities of meat and sausages on the counter, a neat and tidy display is now considered good form. It is no longer enough to simply have good products, they must also be presented in an attractive and structured way. 70 years of PricoPlex – changing counter concepts
Our milestones
1954
Until 1999, PricoPlex still traded under the name Prico. Prico produces its first acrylic glass panels and launches them on the market.
1954
Switch to the high-quality, impact-resistant ABS base material, a durable, through-colored layer of acrylic glass seals the surface of the boards. A conscious decision against melamine.
“From 1957 to 1963, one of the most important chain stores* in Germany tested these serving bowls and basins against other plastic products with great success.” This quote from a PricoPlex brochure from 1974 makes it clear what is still true today: PricoPlex counter trays are unrivaled in terms of quality. The foundation stone for today’s modular counter systems and modern counter shells was therefore laid 70 years ago.
No reason for Christian Priebe, Managing Director of PricoPlex since 1997, to rest on his laurels. He has consistently driven forward his father’s ideas and innovations and taken them to a new level. PricoPlex takes responsibility for people and nature with resource-conserving production, and we respond to changing customer needs by constantly developing new product types, shapes and colors.

2004
PricoPlex grows – development of the sales force and an internal
office staff.
2005
New launch of the FRESH range – since then, this range has become an integral part of the service counter. PricoPlex focuses on color – the classic colors white and black are joined by trays in red, green and yellow to visually emphasize product groups.

Expansion of the product portfolio to include salad and delicatessen trays, staircase displays, rondels, counter accessories and tableware – always
adapted to changes in the market.
from 2021
Establishment of four regional sales offices North, South, East and West.
2022
Relocation to the new company headquarters in Eresing, in a resource-saving, climate-friendly new building.
2023
Patent for the honeycomb base – The honeycomb base is now a protected trademark throughout Europe. The European Union Intellectual Property Office entered the honeycomb base in the register of European Union trademarks in May.
2024
The year of innovations – the elegant GRACE range, the original with patent protection, is causing a sensation at the fresh food counter, caterers are setting new standards at the buffet with the CATE range of platters, and the petrol color brings a sophisticated, self-confident look to the counter.

Digitalization is finding its way into all industries and is not stopping at PricoPlex. Christian Priebe is therefore thinking about digital solutions that can expand the service for customers or simplify the set-up process for everyone involved. After all, the quality of service that has now been achieved should definitely be continued and continuously improved.
Priebe will definitely maintain its location in Germany: “Our products are manufactured in Germany under the highest quality controls.
